What is KBOOM?

KBOOM is a free-to-play fantasy esports platform for League of Legends and Valorant. You collect player cards, draft your own team for the pro leagues and score points from what the real players do in their matches.

There are two ways to play today: the Fantasy League, which runs all season, and Match Predictions, where you pick the winners of upcoming matches. Both have their own leaderboards.

Is KBOOM free?

Yes. Joining a league, drafting a team and making predictions are all free, and no purchase is needed to play or to win. Gems and the KBOOM Pro subscription are optional extras.

Which games and leagues can I play?

League of Legends and Valorant. On the League of Legends side that includes the LEC, LCK, LPL, LCS and LFL, plus international events such as MSI and Worlds. On the Valorant side it covers the VCT, including Valorant Champions.

Leagues open and close with the esports calendar, so the list on the Play screen always shows what is live right now.

How does the KBOOM Fantasy League work?

Each league has its own fantasy season. You open packs to collect cards of that league's players and coaches, then draft a team of 5 players and 1 coach. In League of Legends you pick one player per role: Top, Jungle, Mid, ADC and Support.

The season is split into steps. Your players score points from their real matches during each step. You can change your lineup freely between steps, and it locks once the first match of the step has started.

How are fantasy points calculated?

Every player earns base points from real match stats, such as kills, deaths, assists, objectives and wins. Those base points are then multiplied by the multiplier of the card you played, so a rarer card of the same player scores more.

What are card rarities and multipliers?

Player cards come in five rarities, each with its own multiplier range: Common 1x, Uncommon 1.01x to 1.25x, Rare 1.26x to 1.50x, Epic 1.51x to 1.75x and Legendary 1.76x to 2x. Each card has an exact multiplier within its range.

Duplicate cards can be burned for Gems.

What do coaches do?

Coach cards also come from packs. A coach has no multiplier; instead each coach type adds its own perk to your team, for example bonus points for objectives or for winning a series. Picking the right coach for your lineup is part of the strategy.

How do I get packs?

When you join a league you get starter packs for it. On top of that, free packs refill every 12 hours for each league you play, as long as its season is running.

You can also open Premium Packs, which you get with Gems, through bundles in the Shop, or as rewards. The drop rates of every pack are shown in the app before you open it. Packs and cards belong to one league season.

How do Match Predictions work?

Pick the winner of an upcoming match. On best-of-three and best-of-five matches you can also predict the exact score: get both right and your points are multiplied by 1.5, and a wrong score costs you nothing.

Points depend on how the community voted, fixed when the match starts: the fewer players on your side, the more points a correct pick is worth. You can edit or cancel a prediction until the match begins. Points add up on a leaderboard for each league.

Can I win prizes?

Yes. Both the Fantasy League and Match Predictions have a leaderboard per league, and at the end of the season the top players can win the rewards listed for that league, which can include Gems, KBOOM Pro or physical prizes. Is KBOOM a betting site?

No. You never stake money or anything of value to enter: Fantasy Leagues and Predictions are free, skill-based games. Gems, cards and other in-game items have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money.

What are Gems?

Gems are KBOOM's in-game currency. You can earn them by completing missions, keeping your daily streak, inviting friends, burning duplicate cards and finishing high on a leaderboard, or buy them in the Shop. They are used for Premium Packs and other extras.

What is KBOOM Pro?

KBOOM Pro is an optional subscription. It removes all ads and adds perks such as extra predictions each day, bigger daily rewards, bonus Gems when you burn cards, streak protection and a Pro badge. You can cancel at any time and keep the perks until the end of the period you paid for.

Where can I play KBOOM?

On a computer, play in your browser at app.kboom.gg. On a phone or tablet, use the KBOOM app, available on the App Store and Google Play. The app is available in English, French and Spanish.

Do I need an account?

You can look around without one, but you need a free account to join a league, open packs or make predictions. You can sign up with an email address, or with Google, Apple or Discord.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to your profile and choose Delete My Account. On the web, go to Settings, then Edit Account, then Danger Zone. You can also email contact@kboom.gg. Deletion is permanent and removes your game data; the delete account page explains exactly what is removed and what is kept.
