Terms of Service

1. Publisher

KBOOM (Kboom.gg and the KBOOM - Esport Fan App mobile app) is published by Bloometa, trading as KBOOM, registered in France under SIRET 909 435 836 00020, with its registered office in Levallois-Perret, France (“KBOOM”). Contact: contact@kboom.gg.

2. Purpose and acceptance

These Terms of Service (“ToS”) govern your use of KBOOM’s esports fantasy and prediction games and related services (the “Services”), on the website and in the mobile app. By creating an Account or using the Services, you accept these ToS. Purchases are also governed by the Terms of Sale, and Prize Contests by the Official Contest Rules.

3. Definitions

Account

Your personal KBOOM account, needed to play, compete and buy.

Fantasy

The game mode where you draft a roster of real esports players, whose performance in official matches scores points for your team.

Cards

Virtual cards of esports players and coaches, obtained from Packs and used to build Fantasy rosters.

Packs

Sets of Cards: some are free, others are opened with Gems.

Predictions

The game mode where you pick the winner, and optionally the exact score, of esports matches.

Picks

Your predictions. A number of free Picks is available every day; extra Picks can be unlocked.

Gems

KBOOM's virtual currency, earned by playing or bought in the shop, and spent inside KBOOM only.

Gold

Points earned only by playing, according to your final rank on leaderboards, exchangeable for rewards in the Gold Gift Shop.

KBOOM Pro

The optional subscription that adds perks, such as extra Picks.

Prize Contests

Fantasy leagues and Predictions leaderboards that award prizes, governed by the Official Contest Rules.

4. Accounts

You can browse KBOOM without an Account. Playing, competing and buying need one. You must be at least 15 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to create an Account; Prize Contests are open to players aged 18 or over only.

Give accurate information and keep your credentials confidential: you are responsible for what happens on your Account. One Account per person. You can sign in with an email and password, or with Google, Apple or Discord.

You can delete your Account at any time, in the app, in Settings on the website, or by email, as described on the account deletion page.

5. Using KBOOM

KBOOM gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for your own entertainment, as long as you follow these ToS.

Fantasy and Predictions are games of skill based on the real results of official esports matches. Entering them is free: no purchase is necessary to play or to win.

Match data, schedules and results come from third-party providers and may contain errors or change. KBOOM may correct scores, points and rankings when the underlying data is corrected, and may void Picks on matches that are cancelled.

6. Gems, Cards and Gold

Gems, Cards, Packs and Gold are virtual items licensed to you for use inside KBOOM. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be sold, transferred or traded outside the features KBOOM provides.

Gold is earned only by playing. It cannot be bought, transferred to another player or converted into money. It can be exchanged for the rewards shown in the Gold Gift Shop, whose catalogue may change.

The drop rates of Packs are shown before any Pack is opened with Gems.

7. Purchases and KBOOM Pro

Gems, Packs, bundles and KBOOM Pro can be bought on the website or, in the mobile app, through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Purchases are governed by the Terms of Sale, and purchases made in the app are also governed by the terms of the store you buy from.

KBOOM Pro renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. Cancel a subscription bought in the app in your App Store or Google Play account settings, and one bought on the website from your KBOOM settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period stays active.

Digital content is delivered immediately. By buying it, you ask for immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery has started, as permitted by EU consumer law.

8. Prize Contests

Prize Contests are organised by the publisher of KBOOM under the Official Contest Rules available in the app and on the website, which prevail over these ToS for everything related to prizes. Apple and Google are not sponsors of, and are not involved in any way with, these contests or their prizes.

You confirm that you are 18 or over before your first Prize Contest entry. Winners may be asked for proof of age, identity and residence before a prize is awarded.

9. Fair play and conduct

Don't use multiple Accounts, bots, scripts or any automated means; don't exploit bugs, share Accounts, or manipulate rankings or prices; don't harass other players.

Your username and profile picture must not be offensive, misleading, or infringe anyone's rights.

KBOOM may remove content, void results or rewards obtained unfairly, and suspend or close Accounts that break these rules, after informing you when the law requires it.

10. Intellectual property

KBOOM, its software, design, Cards artwork and content belong to the publisher or its licensors. Team names, logos and player names belong to their respective owners and are used to identify them.

KBOOM is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by the game publishers or the tournament organisers whose competitions it covers.

11. Advertising

KBOOM may show advertising. Personalised advertising and analytics follow the choices you make in the consent tools, as described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.

12. Availability and liability

KBOOM works to keep the Services available but cannot guarantee that they are uninterrupted or error-free, and may change, suspend or end features, game modes or contests.

KBOOM is liable only for direct damage caused by its own fault, within the limits allowed by law. Nothing in these ToS limits the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

14. Changes to these ToS

KBOOM may update these ToS. You will be told about material changes before they apply, and continuing to use KBOOM after that date means you accept them. If you don't, you can delete your Account.

15. Governing law and disputes

These ToS are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Before going to court, contact us so that we can try to settle the dispute amicably. You may bring a dispute before the courts of your place of residence or those of the publisher's registered office.
