TL vs CFO Prediction: Worlds, 23 October

Team Liquid vs CTBC Flying Oyster: prediction

Team Liquid arrive at Worlds in strong form, with four wins in their last five LCS series. That run includes 3-1 victories over LYON and Cloud9 and a 3-0 sweep of FlyQuest, plus a 2-0 win against Dignitas. Their only defeat in that stretch was a 0-2 loss to LYON.

CTBC Flying Oyster bring a more mixed record. At the Esports World Cup they beat Ground Zero Gaming 2-1, then lost to Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks Gaming 1-2 and to Deep Cross Gaming 0-2. Before that, at Worlds, they beat FlyQuest 2-0 and fell 0-3 to KT Rolster.

The two teams have met once before, at First Stand in 2025, when CTBC Flying Oyster won 2-0. This Worlds meeting is a Bo1, so a single game decides it. It starts on October 23 at 22:00 UTC.
