The "Esports Nations Cup" is coming

The Esports World Cup Foundation announced the "Esports Nations Cup", a global tournament where the world’s top esports players will not only represent their teams but compete under their national flags.

This is a major step toward institutionalizing global esports, creating a structure that mirrors traditional sports, and unlocking new pathways for talent development and investment.

The inaugural edition is set for November 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a rotating host model to follow in future editions. Expect participation from across North America, South America, Europe, MENA, Africa, Asia, SEA & Oceania.

Hosted every two years, it's more than just a tournament, it's a platform to build sustainable, long-term national programs for players, coaches, orgs, publishers, and partners.
